Grandma's 80th Birthday

My grandma's 80th birthday was on Sunday so the whole family went up to the resthome to visit her. She's had Alzheimer's for about 7 years now and she doesn't talk at all. She's to the point now that she doesn't recognize anyone but my grandpa and it's really sad. She fell and broke her hip a few months ago and she's been in the resthome ever since. She was doing physical therapy but since she wasn't improving they stopped that treatment. She'll be in a wheelchair the rest of her life now and it makes me feel so bad to see her like this. She was the kind of person that was always on the go, nice to everybody and always serving. I'm sure it'd hard for her to be like this now, but I just hope she's not suffering inside.
